Pamukkale “Cotton Castle” in Turkish is an exceptional site and a natural phenomenon - warm, heavily mineralized water flowing from springs creating pools and terraces which are visually stunning. Hot water rising from underground in four springs at a temperature of 35°C saturated with calcium salts and carbon dioxide. As the water cools, these salts precipitate and form the white travertine layers. On your return drive to Kusadasi, you will have lunch and there is also a refreshment stop at a village where there will be a brief carpet presentation.
